Tasting Note

A floral and apple blossom start, leading to a creamy mid-palate with refreshing mineral notes, alongside flavours of apple and a hint of smoke. The finish is delicious and full of both mineral chalkiness and acidity.

Product Notes

Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay is a visually stunning wine with a golden hue and a crisp, clear appearance. The nose is an intriguing blend of citrus and floral aromas that are backed by rich notes of butter and vanilla. The palate is equally complex, with flavors of ripe pear, lemon custard and fresh spices. It is a medium-bodied wine with a creamy texture that coats the mouth perfectly and leaves a clean finish. This wine is a testament to the talented winemakers at Bachelder, who sourced premium grapes from the Niagara Peninsula to create an elegant and balanced Chardonnay. It is an excellent choice for pairing with grilled shellfish or roasted chicken.

About the Winery

Bachelder

Thomas Bachelder, the reputed winemaker, is known for the Bachelder Project. As part of this project, he wanted to explore the cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the world’s three unique cold-climate regions – Oregon, Niagara and Burgundy. Therefore, he set up cellars in all these three places and creates wines that are true representations of the grapes grown on the specific soil and climate of these three places.
