Tasting Note

Arneis is a lovely white grape from Piedmont, recently repopularised and this is a fine example, filled with tropical fruit, honey and ripe pears, enhanced by a strong scent of hawthorn blossom.

Product Notes

Fontanafredda Briccotondo Arneis is a reputable white wine made in the Piedmont region of Italy. The grape variety used to make Briccotondo Arneis is Arneis, an indigenous grape that's grown in the northern part of Italy. The wine's golden color and fruity aroma are the first things that attract wine aficionados. The taste of the wine is rich with flavors of green apple, lemon zest, and a slight hint of peach. The wine's acidity is well-balanced, making it crisp and refreshing, with a moderate finish. The ideal pairing for this wine is seafood, especially shellfish or raw fish, but it can also accompany vegetable dishes or light soups. Overall, Fontanafredda Briccotondo Arneis is a delightful wine with a fresh and elegant taste perfect for any occasion.

About the Winery

Fontanafredda

If there is one Italian wine label with a rich, royal history, it has got to be Fontanafredda. Started by the first King of Italy in 1858, Fontanafredda, is one of the richest and authentic Italian wine labels today. Vittorio Emanuele II purchased the Fontanafredda wine estate, and dedicated the same to his children, who were the Count of Fontanafredda and Mirafore. Within 8 years of buying the estate, the King bought his first Barola vineyard.
