Tasting Note

This wine is bright ruby-garnet in colour. With the grapes sourced from different sub-areas of Serralunga, there is a spectrum of perfumes on the nose, ranging from spicy to sweet, floral and fruit. The palate is a classic example of the region; full-bodied, elegant and well structured, with great ageing ability.

Product Notes

Massolino Barolo is a premium red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Barolo region of Italy. Its deep ruby color, intense aromas of violets, black cherry, and spice, and complex flavors of blackberry, tobacco, and earth make it a truly exceptional wine. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 320-380 meters above sea level in well-drained, calcareous-clay soils giving the wine its unique flavor. After being fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in oak barrels for 24-30 months, the wine is bottled for further aging. Massolino Barolo is a rich, velvety wine with a long finish that pairs perfectly with red meat, roasted vegetables, and hearty stews.

About the Winery

Massolino

The century-old, family-owned, Italian wine brand of Massolino is one of those wines that stay true to the character and richness of their soil. It was in the year 1896 that the founder of the Massolino label, Giovanni established his wine estate in Serralunga d’Alba, the home of this brand today.
