An appealing and structured wine, which is complex and elegant with layers of black cherry, cocoa and coffee. Harmoniously balanced, it has a velvety palate and a long, silky finish. Its richness and elegance places it amongst the finest wines in Chiarlo's portfolio.

Product Notes

Michele Chiarlo La Court Nizza DOCG is a premium red wine made from the Barbera grape variety, which is grown exclusively in the Nizza DOCG appellation of Piedmont, Italy. The wine boasts a deep ruby red color and a rich, complex aroma with floral, red fruit, and spicy notes. The palate is full-bodied and elegant, with soft tannins and a long, persistent finish. This wine is aged in oak barrels for nearly a year, which imparts added depth and complexity to its flavor profile. Michele Chiarlo La Court Nizza DOCG is a highly sought-after wine that pairs well with a variety of Italian dishes, including roasted meats, pasta and tomato-based sauces, and hard cheeses.

About the Winery

Michele Chiarlo

Michele Chiarlo had a passion for winemaking right from a young age, as he, along with his father, realised the huge wine-producing potential of the Piedmont Hills in Italy. He began his own brand in the year 1956 when he was still in his 20s. He aimed to make the best and most respected crus in the entire Piedmont region. His dream came true, when the first cru, released in 1958, impressed everyone who tasted it.
