Tasting Note

The Vecchie Vigne Brunello comes from a single plot of vines around the winery, averaging 50 years of age. After the main Brunello, the VV offers up more bullace, forest fruit and red plum, leading to a more serious and tannic profile on the whole that marks it out as a vin de garde. While less expressive initially, the fruit is crisp and the tannins firm, so it just needs a little time to unwind. It is a wine with a great track record for ageing.

Product Notes

Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino Ragnaie Vecchie Vigne is a premium red wine produced in the Tuscany region of Italy. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are harvested from ancient vineyards in the Montalcino appellation and aged in French oak barrels for 36 months. The result is a full-bodied wine with intense aromas of dark fruit, leather, and tobacco, which are complemented by a complex palate with rich flavors of ripe cherry, blackberry, and herbs. This wine is best paired with hearty meat dishes or aged cheese and is perfect for special occasions or wine enthusiasts looking for a classic Tuscan experience.
