Tasting Note

A Tuscan take on a Bordeaux-style blend, this is complex and deeply scented, full of cassis, toasted wood and spice, with blackberries and forest fruit structured on a lattice of tannins and a puff of liquorice bringing freshness to the whole ensemble.

Product Notes

Brancaia Ilatraia Maremma wine is a bold and elegant red blend that hails from the Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc grapes that are carefully selected from the estate's vineyards. The result is a wine that exudes complexity, with ripe red and black fruits, hints of spice, and a subtle earthiness. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long, lingering finish. Brancaia Ilatraia Maremma wine is truly a stunning representation of the unique terroir of Maremma.

About the Winery

Brancaia

Brancaia is a renowned Tuscan wine estate located in the heart of Chianti Classico, with properties in Castellina and Radda in Chianti between Florence and Siena, as well as a coastal estate in the Maremma near Grosseto. The winery was founded in 1981 by Swiss couple Brigitte Widmer and Bruno Widmer, who purchased and restored a neglected Tuscan property with the ambition of producing top-quality Chianti Classico. Early critical success quickly established Brancaia as a rising star in the region.
