Tasting Note

The 2018 Syrah has a deep and youthful vibrant crimson colour. Wild raspberry, blueberry, cracked pepper and hints of vanilla bean on the nose. Powerful and balanced ripe tannins give the wine great savoury structure. Oak plays a supporting role; the wine leads with a pure fruit expression. This purity, combined with refreshing natural acidity, make for excellent ageing potential.

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah is a high-quality wine made from 100% Syrah grapes grown in the Gimblett Gravels region of New Zealand's Hawke's Bay wine region. This wine is rich and full-bodied, with deep color and intense aromas of dark fruit, black pepper, mocha, and spicy oak. On the palate, the wine shows great depth and complexity, with concentrated flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, and black cherry, complemented by hints of licorice and sage. The tannins are firm yet silky, creating a long, lingering finish. Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah is a perfect complement to grilled meats, hearty stews, and robust cheeses.
