Tasting Note

Sourced entirely from vineyards located in Marlborough’s spectacular Awatere Valley, this vibrant wine displays aromas of passionfruit and citrus zest with notes of fresh herbs and green pepper. The concentrated palate is layered with flavours of sweet tropical fruit, bright lemon and lime, and crunchy green apple. With a zesty minerality, this wine leads to a pure, lively, and focused dry finish that has both freshness and length.

Product Notes

Tohu Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshing and lively wine, perfect for a summer day or a cheerful evening with friends. It is made from grapes cultivated on the stunning coastal region of Marlborough, New Zealand. The nose is filled with intense, fruity aromas of passion fruit, gooseberry, and citrus, complemented by delicate floral hints. On the palate, it's crisp and zesty with bright acidity and a long, mineral finish of green apple and lemon zest. This delicious Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with seafood, salads, and creamy soft cheeses, making it an excellent option for any occasion.

About the Winery

Tohu

Tohu is the first wine business owned by the Māori in New Zealand. Since its establishment in 1998, the winery has focused on producing and developing single vineyards in its estates. It did so on the premier and renowned grape-growing areas and regions of the country. The tūpuna, or ancestors of the current owners of Tohu, were nothing more than a group of fishermen, planters, farmers, and providores. However, they were creative, astute, and determined in whatever they did. It was what allowed them to set up and run the winery.
