Coherent balance between the fruit and the fresh acidity, with muscular support from the tightly-woven tannin structure.

Kanonkop Kadette Pinotage is a dynamic and vigorous red wine from the Western Cape of South Africa. The wine is composed of 100% Pinotage grapes, providing an intense deep ruby color and a complex aroma of strawberries, cloves, black cherries, and cedar wood. The palate features notes of cranberry, raspberry, and blackcurrant that are balanced by a good amount of tannins and a smoky finish. It has a medium body, making it perfect to pair it with grilled meats or strong cheeses. This wine can be enjoyed now but will continue to improve after a few years of aging, showcasing a potential to develop a unique complexity and a subtle earthy flavor.
