Tasting Note

The colour is clear and bright. The nose is fresh and clean with expressive flavour characteristics of tropical fruits. These flavours follow through onto the palate that also offers notes of grapefruit, gooseberries, and gives a lovely freshness which lingers after every sip. 90% Sauvignon Blanc.

Product Notes

Paul Cluver Wines Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful wine that showcases the best of this grape variety from the cool-climate Elgin region of South Africa. On the nose, it exhibits zesty aromas of citrus and freshly cut grass, with subtle herbal notes and a touch of minerality. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing, with flavors of lime, gooseberry, and passionfruit, complemented by a mouthwatering acidity that lingers long on the finish. This wine is an excellent choice as an aperitif or a pairing with lighter dishes such as salads, seafood, or grilled vegetables. It is a perfect example of an elegant and well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc.

About the Winery

Paul Cluver Wines

Paul Cluver Wines is one of South Africa’s family-owned and run wineries located in the Elgin appellation. In the mid-1980s, Dr. Paul Cluver cultivated the first grapevines in the region, establishing the Wine of Origin. Soon, owing to his critical eye for detail and the desire to improve the quality of his productions, Paul realised and recognised the worth of Elgin as a Pinot country. Today, the Cluver family runs and manages Paul Cluver Wines. All the members are a pioneering and visionary spirit.
