Product Notes

Chateau Musar Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan grapes harvested from vineyards in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon. This medium-bodied red wine has a rustic and earthy profile with aromas of red cherries, currants, and spice. The palate is well-rounded and balanced with a silky texture, lively acidity, and flavours of dried fruit, leather, and tobacco. Chateau Musar Red is aged for at least 4 years in oak barrels and bottle-aged for another 4 years before release to the market. This wine is a truly unique expression of the Lebanese terroir, showcasing a history and tradition of winemaking that dates back more than a century.

About the Winery

Chateau Musar

The Lebanon-based family winery, Chateau Musar was established in 1930. Gaston Hochar set up this winery at a place called Ghazir, located within a short distance from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut. The wines from this label are made from high-quality Musar grapes that are cultivated on the 1000-feet tall vines cultivated on Beqaa Valley.
