Tasting Note

Perfumed nose; floral, sweet mint, blueberries and cassis, with spicy notes of crushed caraway seeds, Earl Grey tea, and Dutch liquorice. On the palate the wine is smooth and rich with the sweet earthiness of roasted root vegetables, the acidity of rhubarb and the dark lusciousness of black currants. The wine is layered, finishing dry with typical Cabernet tannin

Product Notes

Brash Higgins CBSV Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine of tremendous complexity and depth. Made with grapes grown in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia, this wine is handcrafted with great care and attention to detail. It has a deep ruby color that hints at its rich, full-bodied character. On the nose, there are hints of blackcurrant, tobacco, and vanilla that blend perfectly with its minerality and smoky aromas. The palate is bold and intense, with flavors of dark fruit, leather, and spice that evolve into a long, smooth finish. Brash Higgins CBSV Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years.

About the Winery

Brash Higgins

Brash Higgins, based out of Southern Australia, is a creation of Brad Hickey and Nicole Thorpe. Brad, nicknamed "Brash" by Australian pruners, brought his interest in food and wine and the experience of having worked in the US and Australia to the table. Nicole had a vineyard named Omensletter, with Cabernet, Sauvignon, Shiraz varieties of grapes planted in 1997. When the two met in 2007, Australia was reeling under drought, affecting the Omensletter vineyard.
