Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Merlot is a premium red wine made by one of the most respected wineries in Chile. The Merlot grapes are handpicked from the Apalta vineyards located in the Colchagua Valley, known for its exceptional terroir and climate. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, which adds complexity and depth of flavor to the finished wine. The result is a rich and velvety wine with dark cherry and blackberry aromas, complemented by notes of vanilla and chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with a long, elegant finish that leaves a lingering impression. This wine is a perfect match for hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Established in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet, this label’s main aim was to spread the wine-rich terroirs of Chile to the world. The seed for starting this label was sown when the couple visited the beautiful Chilean valley of Colchagua. The soil, terroir and the climatic conditions of this place were too good to grow premium-quality vines here.
