The wine is made from 100% Merlot grapes, grown on the Ulmo vineyard, one of the highest vineyards in the Planeta estate. The rich, complex wine has an intense ruby red color and a bouquet of ripe fruit, vanilla, and spices. It is full-bodied with a delicate balance of tannins and acidity, making it perfect for pairing with hearty meat dishes or aged cheeses. This wine has won numerous accolades, including a 92-point score from Wine Spectator, cementing its place as one of the best Merlot wines out of Italy.
