Tasting Note

This wine is ruby red in colour with violet reflections. On the nose, there are aromas of mulberry and cherry which give way to a soft palate with delicate tannins. Full-bodied and elegant, this Nero di Troia is perfectly balanced.

Product Notes

Cantina Diomede's Lama di Pietra Nero di Troia is a rich, intense red wine from Puglia, Italy. Made from the Nero di Troia grape, it has a deep ruby color and a complex bouquet, with notes of black fruit, spice, and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a long, satisfying finish. The winery is located in the heart of the Castel del Monte DOC region, where the unique microclimate and terroir produce grapes of exceptional quality. This wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months, which gives it a firm structure and depth of flavor. It is an ideal accompaniment to rich meat dishes, stews, and game.

About the Winery

Cantina Diomede

The story and origin of Cantina Diomede began with the tale of Diomede, the ancient Homeric hero. He made a name for himself with his participation and merits in the Trojan War. History dictates that Diomede established the Canosa province, earlier known as Canusium. Legend says that he came to the Puglia region in Italy and utilised the stones from the broken walls in defeated cities to demarcate his conquered lands.
