Tasting Note

Light green in colour with creamy tinges. The nose is brimming with notes of elderflower, white flower, jasmine, gardenia, lemons, grapefruit and passionfruit. The palate is vibrant with lively acidity and zesty characters of kaffir lime, kumquat and pink grapefruit. It shows layers of complexity with unctuous juicy fruit and the texture of pear and pink apple.

Product Notes

The Cullen Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon is a delightful blend of two classic varietals that have been expertly crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. The wine has a bright, clear appearance, with a pale straw color and a lively aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and grassy notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a wonderful balance of zesty acidity and rich fruit flavors, including guava, passionfruit, and lemon zest. The finish is crisp and invigorating, leaving a clean and refreshing aftertaste. This wine is a perfect example of the outstanding quality that can be achieved in the Margaret River region.

About the Winery

Cullen

It was during 1966 that Diana and Kevin Cullen realised the full potential of their vine-growing property located in Wilyabrup property located near Margaret River in Western Australia. The climate and soil quality of the place was so good that it had the potential to produce Bordeaux-quality wines.  Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and Gewurztraminer were the first grape varietals planted on 17 acres of these vineyards in 1971.
