Tasting Note

Ripe plums, red currants, violets, Italian herbs and exotic spice dominate the nose. The perfume of the nose follows through with a certain smokiness and flavours of darker berries, liquorice, cardamom, star anise and cinnamon. The wine is fresh, plummy and vibrant with hints of fennel seed, orange peel, cloves and black pepper lingering on a juicy finish.

Product Notes

Boekenhoutskloof The Wolftrap Red is a harmonious blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Viognier grapes, which come together to create a bold and captivating wine. The aroma is full of ripened dark berries, black cherry, and hints of cassis. The palate is silky smooth with rich flavors of plum and blackberry, balanced by hints of savory spices, black pepper, and roasted coffee beans. The finish is long and delightful, with the velvety tannins lingering on the tongue. This South African wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats, hearty stews, and strong cheeses, making it the perfect choice for any occasion.
