Product Notes

E. Guigal Hermitage Rouge is a rich and complex red wine from the Northern Rhone Valley of France. Made predominantly from Syrah grapes, it boasts a deep ruby color and a bouquet of dark fruit, spices, and herbs, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and flavors of blackberry, plum, and cassis, followed by a long, persistent finish that lingers on the tongue. An excellent wine for pairing with roasted meats, game, and savory dishes, E. Guigal Hermitage Rouge is a sophisticated and elegant choice for special occasions or refined dining experiences.

About the Winery

E. Guigal

E Guigal or Etienne Guigal is one of the most popular and historic wine labels today. This wine label's history dates back to 1946, when Etienne Guigal established this brand in the small and heritage-rich village of Ampuis in the Cote-Rotie appellation. The vines in this particular appellation are characterised by their age. The average age of these vines is around 2400 years! At the young age of 14, Etienne Guigal had already vinified 67 harvests on this appellation.
