Tasting Note

A highly aromatic Syrah, as blackberry, blueberry and raspberry characters are presented in this wine of great personality. Hints of bitter chocolate combine seamlessly with notes of black pepper, cinnamon and tobacco on the palate. Well balanced, with a juicy and long lasting finish.

Product Notes

Viña Echeverria Gran Reserva Syrah is a deep ruby red wine with a rich and complex aroma of dark fruits, vanilla, and cinnamon, complemented by notes of violet and black pepper. It is produced with 100% Syrah grapes, carefully selected and harvested by hand from the Maipo Valley vineyards in Chile. The wine has a full-bodied and balanced taste, with ripe tannins and a long-lasting finish. It expresses the essence of the Maipo River terroir, where the vines benefit from the Mediterranean climate and the granite and clay soils, resulting in a wine that combines strength, elegance, and charm. This wine is an excellent pairing for red meats, game, and mature cheeses.

About the Winery

Viña Echeverria

The wines from the Chilean brand of Echeverria are some of the most historical in this region. The Echeverria family originally belonged to Spain, but moved to Chile during the 1750s to make it big in the wine industry. It was during 1930 that this family realised the potential of the Curico Valley, located at a distance of 200km from the Chilean capital of Santiago.
