Tasting Note

A vibrant display of red and blue jubey fruits, intertwined with five spice and cinnamon. Charry oak and some herbal characters adding complexity. Palate. The soft blue and red berry characters follow on to the palate. Shiraz providing a mouthful of plush spicey-sweet fruit, whilst Tempranillo plays its hand by contributing a deliciously rustic, savoury tannin profile.

Product Notes

Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz Tempranillo is a rich and full-bodied red wine that offers a complex blend of flavors and aromas. This unique wine is a fusion of Australian Shiraz and Spanish Tempranillo grapes, resulting in a full-bodied and well-balanced wine that is bursting with flavor. On the nose, the wine is layered with ripe blackberries, plums, and spices, while the palate is characterized by bold flavors, including blackcurrants, berries and vanilla. The tannins are firm, but smooth, providing a long, lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression. Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz Tempranillo is a great accompaniment to grilled meats and hearty dishes, making it the perfect wine for any special occasion.

About the Winery

Pikes

The story and history of Pikes run along with that of the Pike family. Since 1886, the family produced and distributed handcrafted, authentic, and high-quality wines in Australia. They sold their first beverage, the Pikes Beer, in 1886. Then followed their line of cordials and soft drinks since 1940. Their first wine, the Pikes wine got released in 1985. As such, the involvement of the Pike family in the beverage industry is a family tradition that they take exceptional pride in and enjoy.
