Product Notes
Donnafugata Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria is a rich, sweet wine made from sun-ripened Zibibbo grapes grown on the volcanic island of Pantelleria off the coast of Sicily. The name "Ben Ryé" means "Son of the Wind" in Arabic, referring to the island's windswept terrain. The grapes are harvested by hand and then sun-dried on mats, concentrating their sugars and flavors. The resulting wine is luscious and complex, with notes of candied fruit, honey, and spice. It pairs well with desserts and blue cheeses, or it can be enjoyed on its own as a luxurious after-dinner treat.
