Product Notes

Carpineto Chianti Classico DOCG is a red wine that has been aged for 12 months in oak barrels and bottle-aged for another year. It has a rich, ruby red color with a complex aroma of black cherry, violet, and spice. The taste is bold, with dark fruit flavors and integrated tannins. This wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese grapes and other varietals grown in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy. It pairs well with hearty dishes such as pasta with tomato sauce, grilled meats, and aged cheeses. Carpineto Chianti Classico DOCG is a classic representation of Tuscan wine and a great addition to any wine collection.

About the Winery

Carpineto

It was the winemaking passion of wine experts, Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo that resulted in the birth of the Italian wine label, Carpineto in the year 1967. The name of the brand is inspired by the Greek word, carpos, which means fruit. Today, the younger generation of these experts are doing their best to take the legacy of the brand forward, in their own style, without compromising on the traditional winemaking methods.
