Tasting Note

Blended from fruit sourced from some of Australia’s best red-growing regions in the country, this wine offers a classic Pinot Noir bouquet of bright, enticing cherry and strawberry aromas layered over an undertone of mushrooms and forest floor. The palate is long and concentrated, with rich, sweet fruit, subtle hints of savoury oak and smooth tannins. Made in a soft but generously flavoured style, it makes an ideal accompaniment to red meat and game dishes, pasta with tomato-based sauces and semi-soft cheeses.

Product Notes

Tyrrell's Wines Old Winery Pinot Noir is a premium wine made from hand-picked grapes in the Hunter Valley region of Australia. With a rich ruby red color, this wine has a complex bouquet of dark fruit flavors such as cherry and blackberry, as well as a subtle spicy aroma. On the palate, the wine displays a smooth texture with soft tannins, harmonious acidity, and a long finish. This Pinot Noir is aged in French oak barrels, which lend to its complexity and depth. It is best paired with hearty dishes such as roasted poultry, grilled lamb, or mushroom risotto. This wine is a true reflection of the elegance and finesse of Australian winemaking.

About the Winery

Tyrrell's Wines

The Australian wine label of Tyrrell’s has a rich history that dates back to 1858. During this year, Edward Tyrrell, who had shifted to Australia from England, took control of 320 acres of land in the Hunter Valley region. The iron slab hut that he constructed on this land still stands today to transport you back into those days. He started planting Shiraz and Semillon vines in this region, and there was no turning back for his company after that.
