Tasting Note

A gastronomic wine, this pairs brilliantly with sweet and fragrant savoury dishes alike. Light golden hues illuminate this delicately effervescent wine. Aromas of brioche, baked apple and Acacia honey are followed by a hint of tangerine peel. The palate of lemon curd is balanced by crisp acidity and a clean, pure structure. Its name is a reference to Nyetimber’s skilled winemaker, Cherie Spriggs, as well as its higher level of dosage.

Product Notes

Nyetimber Cuvée Chérie Demi-Sec is a luxurious sparkling wine that offers a harmonious marriage between floral and fruit aromas. It is crafted from the finest Chardonnay grapes, hand-selected from the Nyetimber Estate Vineyard in Sussex, England. The wine is then carefully blended with a small amount of Pinot Noir, creating an ideal balance of acidity and sweetness. Its beautiful golden hue highlights the delicate bubbles that fill each flute. This wine is perfect for accompanying desserts, particularly fruit or custard-based ones, due to its gorgeous, well-rounded flavors. The Nyetimber Cuvée Chérie Demi-Sec is perfect for anyone looking for a luxurious and refined sparkling wine experience.

About the Winery

Nyetimber

Though the Nyetimber Estate’s history dates back to as early as almost 10 centuries ago, the first vines were planted here only during 1988. The unique chalky soil of this region enables the vines to produce excellent grape varietals to create sparkling wines and other wines too.  The climate of the south of England, where the Nyetimber vineyards are located, along with the unique soil quality lends a nice acidity, ripeness and complexity to the grapes cultivated here. Today, this place is home to some of the best quality of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier varietals of grapes.
