Product Notes

Arnaldo Caprai is a leading wine producer in Umbria, Italy, and their Anima Umbra Rosso represents the epitome of quality and elegance. Produced using a blend of Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, this wine has a deep ruby color with complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, including black cherry and blackberry, complemented by notes of vanilla, tea leaves and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish. This wine is perfect for meat-based dishes like grilled lamb or beef stews, and it will also pair nicely with aged cheeses. Anima Umbra Rosso from Arnaldo Caprai is a beautiful expression of the unique terroir of Umbria, and a must-try for wine lovers and enthusiasts alike.

About the Winery

Arnaldo Caprai

The story of Arnaldo Caprai began in 1971 when the winery’s founder of the same name decided to make his dream and goal of establishing and operating a wine farm come true. Arnaldo was a successful and renowned textile entrepreneur. However, he always remained interested in the art and craft of winemaking. It led him to purchase 45 hectares of land in Montefalco town, the land on which the winery stands today.
