Product Notes

Arnaldo Caprai Valdimaggio Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG is a premium Italian red wine made from 100% Sagrantino grapes. It is grown in the wine region of Montefalco in Umbria, Italy. The grapes used in making this wine are carefully selected and hand-harvested from the Valdimaggio Vineyard at the heart of Montefalco. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12-14 months to enhance its depth of flavour. The result is a wine with intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and dark chocolate, complemented by hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with firm tannins and a long finish. This wine is ideal for pairing with rich meat dishes and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Arnaldo Caprai

The story of Arnaldo Caprai began in 1971 when the winery’s founder of the same name decided to make his dream and goal of establishing and operating a wine farm come true. Arnaldo was a successful and renowned textile entrepreneur. However, he always remained interested in the art and craft of winemaking. It led him to purchase 45 hectares of land in Montefalco town, the land on which the winery stands today.
