Product Notes

Bodega Bouza Tannat is a bold and elegant red wine that hails from Uruguay. Made from the Tannat grape, known for its intense flavors and deep color, this wine showcases rich notes of dark fruits, blackberries, and plums. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish. Bodega Bouza Tannat is aged in oak barrels, adding complexity and layers of spice and vanilla to the wine. Perfect for pairing with hearty dishes like steak or lamb, this wine is a true showstopper that will delight even the most discerning wine connoisseurs.

About the Winery

Bodega Bouza

Bodega Bouza is a boutique family-owned winery with 35 hectares of vineyards spread across four distinct sites. Best known for its outstanding Tannat — Uruguay’s flagship variety — the estate also cultivates Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Tempranillo, Riesling and Albariño, becoming the first producer in the country to plant Albariño commercially. Founded in 2000 by Juan and Elisa Bouza on the site of a restored 1940s winery, the estate has quickly established itself as one of Uruguay’s most highly regarded and critically acclaimed producers, particularly for its single-vineyard Tannat wines.
