Product Notes

De Martino Viejas Tinajas Cinsault is an exquisite red wine that is produced by the De Martino winery in the Itata Valley region of Chile. Made from old vines that are over 80 years old, the grapes are grown using traditional methods, resulting in a wine that perfectly captures the essence of the terroir. This wine is aged in ancient tinajas, which are large clay amphorae that are buried underground, which imparts a distinct earthy flavor to the wine. Smooth and elegant, this wine offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, with a hint of spices and herbs. Delicious and well-balanced, this wine is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes.

About the Winery

De Martino

Established in 1934, the Chilean wine estate of De Martino is the result of one person’s dream of making the best wines of his region. Pietro de Martino, a native of Italy, moved to Chile to give wings to his dreams of making unique and stylish wines. He found his answer when he stepped foot in the region of Isla de Maipo. This place was rich in alluvial soils, and it enjoyed a Mediterranean climate, which helped De Martino to make his dream of creating elegant wines, a reality. Today, the estate is run by the fourth generation De Martino family members, with the same passion as the founder.
