Product Notes

Miguel Torres La Causa Blend is an extraordinary wine from the Chilean winery, owned by one of Spain's oldest and most renowned family-owned wineries. Torres's La Causa blend is a delicate and well-balanced mix of three different grape varieties: Chardonnay, Riesling, and Viognier. This blend creates a harmonious combination of different aromas and flavors, which evolve over time. The wine displays a straw-yellow color with green hints, aromas of fruity notes, and vanilla hints. It is a fresh and vibrant wine on the palate, with a long and well-structured finish. Miguel Torres La Causa Blend is an exceptional wine that represents the history, culture, and passion of the Torres wine family.

Tasting Notes

Rubi red color with violet tints, in the nose shows red and black fresh fruits, with hints of spices and dry fruit. In the palate it is shown delicate, with great acidity and firm tannins that give it nerve and structure.

About the Winery

Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres, a family-owned wine estate in Chile, has been in business for 30 years. Established in 1979, this company has been producing wines with utmost respect for the environment and terroirs where its grapes are grown. Miguel Torres was originally from Spain, but when he arrived at the Curico Valley in Chile in 1979, he knew that he had to start his winemaking business from there, because of the excellent soil quality and climate conditions of the location.

Currently, Miguel Torres and his team, have been focusing on making organic wines and have also got the Fair Trade Certification for the fair winemaking principles followed at the estate. Miguel Torres wines are made from grapes cultivated across some of the best wine regions in Chile such as the following:

Santa Digna Maquehua – Located in Curico Valley; 95-hectare vineyard where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grow mostly

Manso de Velasco – century-old vineyard, where 10 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon grow

San Luis De Alico – Located in San Clemente; 40-hectare vineyard where Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Viognier grow

Paved – Located close to Constitucion; 369-hectare farm, where a part is dedicated to growing a unique type of Pinot Noir, the quality of which cannot be seen anywhere else in Chile

Huerta de Maule – Located in the coastal VII Region; 28-hectare place where Carmenere, Carignan and Malbec grow
