Product Notes

The Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Clousots is a premier cru white wine which is produced in the Meursault commune of the Côte de Beaune region in Burgundy, France. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes which are grown on the steep slopes of the hills surrounding the village. The wine is matured in oak barrels for 12-16 months, imparting a delicate yet complex flavor profile of citrus, honey, and vanilla. The wine shows a beautiful balance of acidity and fruitiness, with a soft, creamy texture on the palate. It is a perfect accompaniment to seafood dishes, including lobster, crab, and scallops, and also pairs well with cream-based sauces.

About the Winery

Domaine Patrick Javillier

The Javillier family’s wine experience dates back to many generations, but as courtiers. Patrick Javillier started to make a living out of winemaking when he worked on only three hectares of vineyards. It took him several years (1974 - 1990, to be exact) to dwell into full-time winemaking and quit his courtier profile because his domaine was getting big and very popular among the people of France’s Meursault Estate.  Though white wines are a core competency of this brand, they also produce a few red wines.
