Tasting Note

Light ruby-red in colour, this wine is an explosion of red fruit. Fresh strawberry and redcurrant dominate the palate, complemented by sweet candied notes and a hint of orange zest. The tannins are supple on the palate and the finish is creamy and long lasting.

About the Winery

Domenico Clerico

Domenico Clerico is one of the legendary names of Barolo, a winery that helped shape the modern identity of the region. The estate is based in Monforte d’Alba, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe hills, and was founded in the late 1970s when Domenico “Mimmo” Clerico took over a small family farm. Instead of focusing on bulk wine, he set out to express the full potential of Monforte’s vineyards, gradually acquiring parcels in some of the area’s most prized crus, including Ginestra, Pajana, and Mosconi.
