Tasting Note

The wine shows a red of good intensity with ruby highlights and a dark, almost black core, clean and bright, with colored tears on the glass. The nose is concentrated and spicy, highlighting green bell pepper and menthol notes, complemented by medium-intensity, well-integrated oak, resulting in an intense, fresh, and persistent aroma. On the palate, it offers mature tannins with good body and richness, balanced by flavors of dark fruits, bell pepper, and refreshing hints of mint, all supported by delicate oak. The wine is elegant, harmonious, and finishes with long, refined persistence.

Product Notes

El Esteco Fincas Notables Cabernet Franc is a bold and elegant red wine that showcases the unique terroir of the Calchaqui Valley in Argentina. With vibrant flavors of ripe blackberries, plums, and cherries, this wine is rich and full-bodied with a smooth and velvety texture. Notes of spice, tobacco, and toasted oak add complexity and depth to the wine, while silky tannins provide structure and balance. This wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, allowing the flavors to meld and develop into a harmonious and sophisticated blend. Perfect for pairing with gourmet dishes or enjoying on its own, El Esteco Fincas Notables Cabernet Franc is a true gem from the Andean foothills.

About the Winery

El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is one of Argentina’s historic wineries, located in the high-altitude Calchaquí Valleys near Cafayate, Salta. Founded in 1892 by the French brothers David and Salvador Michel, with David’s Italian wife Gabriela Torino contributing to its development, the winery was among the earliest producers in the region. It helped put northern Argentine wines, particularly Torrontés, on the international map.
