Tasting Note

The wine displays a deep black core with purple highlights, clean and bright, and thick, colored tears on the glass signal its concentration and youthful structure. The nose is very fruity with floral nuances, offering aromas of plums and raisins, complemented by subtle herbal notes and hints of oak from barrel aging. On the palate, it opens with a generous, full-bodied attack, revealing rounded, sweet, and mature tannins. Vibrant fruitiness and well-integrated oak create a balanced profile, leading to a concentrated wine of impressive depth, elegance, and long, refined persistence.

Product Notes

El Esteco Fincas Notables Malbec is a premium Argentine wine that embodies the essence of the Cafayate Valley. This rich and elegant red wine is made from hand-harvested Malbec grapes grown in select vineyards that have been recognized for their exceptional quality. The wine exudes intense aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and a hint of vanilla, while its velvety tannins and balanced acidity create a smooth and lasting finish. Perfectly paired with grilled meats or hearty pasta dishes, El Esteco Fincas Notables Malbec is a true expression of the unique terroir of the region and a treat for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is one of Argentina’s historic wineries, located in the high-altitude Calchaquí Valleys near Cafayate, Salta. Founded in 1892 by the French brothers David and Salvador Michel, with David’s Italian wife Gabriela Torino contributing to its development, the winery was among the earliest producers in the region. It helped put northern Argentine wines, particularly Torrontés, on the international map.
