2018 Decero Malbec continues i n the style that characterises our Remolinos Vineyard displaying intense violet aromas over a core of red fruits with notes o f cherries and raspberries . Slightly richer in body than the previous vintage yet still very well balanced wine with fresh acidity, i t shows supple and elegant tannins that benefit from 1 4 months maturation i n French oak barrels .

Finca Decero Malbec is a premium wine that originates from one of the largest estates found in Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina. This Malbec is unique in that the grapes were grown from different sections of the vineyard, with each section contributing to the wine’s rich complexity and character. The grapes were handpicked and carefully fermented in oak barrels to bring out the unique flavors and aromas of the fruit. The wine offers a taste of dark fruit flavors, with notes of blackberry and plum, as well as a hint of spice that lingers on the palate. Finca Decero Malbec is a perfect match for grilled meats and roasted vegetables, making it an ideal wine for any special occasion.

About the Winery

In the local Argentinian dialect, the word decero means “from scratch.” That’s exactly the meaning that sums up the birth of this wine label. Originally a barren stretch of land, the vineyards of Agrelo in the Mendoza region have now become one of the premium red wine-producing areas of Argentina. Thomas Schmidheiny, who belonged to a family of passionate winemakers, was the one who discovered the full potential of this plot of land in the 1970s.
