Product Notes

Finca Decero is a family-owned winery located in Argentina's Agrelo wine region. The Owl & The Dust Devil Malbec is one of their most popular and unique offerings. The wine is named after a pair of owls that live in the vineyard and the dust devil winds that can frequently be seen swirling through the vines. It's crafted from 100% Malbec grapes, grown at an altitude of over 3,500 feet above sea level. The result is a rich, complex wine with notes of blackberry, plum, chocolate, and vanilla, along with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. The Owl & The Dust Devil Malbec is an excellent choice for fans of full-bodied, flavorful red wines.

About the Winery

Finca Decero

In the local Argentinian dialect, the word decero means “from scratch.” That’s exactly the meaning that sums up the birth of this wine label. Originally a barren stretch of land, the vineyards of Agrelo in the Mendoza region have now become one of the premium red wine-producing areas of Argentina. Thomas Schmidheiny, who belonged to a family of passionate winemakers, was the one who discovered the full potential of this plot of land in the 1970s.
