Tasting Note

Brunello Montosoli has an intense ruby red colour that fades into garnet with ageing. On the nose it denotes an exceptional personality with notes of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, violet, liquorice, vanilla and slight hints of pink pepper. On the palate it reveals a dry, warm, velvety flavour, a rich texture and a noble race. The finish is warm and lingeringly persuasive.

Product Notes

Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Montosoli is a prestigious and highly acclaimed wine from the famed Montalcino region in Tuscany, Italy. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the esteemed Vigna Montosoli vineyard, this wine is a true expression of the terroir. The vineyard's unique microclimate and soil composition contribute to the wine's complexity and elegance. Aged for a minimum of four years, with at least two years in oak barrels, this Brunello di Montalcino displays intense aromas of dark cherry, plum, leather, and spice. On the palate, it offers a rich and velvety texture with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Montosoli is a wine of exceptional quality and character, worthy of any special occasion or fine dining experience.

About the Winery

Altesino

Altesino is a celebrated winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino region, set around the elegant 14th-century Palazzo Altesi in the rolling hills just east of Montalcino. Founded in the early 1970s, Altesino quickly became a pioneer in the area—introducing the concept of a single-vineyard “Cru” with its Montosoli Brunello in 1975, and later being the first to use small French oak barriques for aging, lending greater finesse and approachability to the wines.
