Tasting Note

A fragrant and elegant wine with complex aromas of wild berries layered with menthol, leather, liquorice, violet, earthy tones and subtle herbal notes. Beautifully balanced with firm tannins, a fruity mid-palate and great length on the finish.

Product Notes

Brezza Barolo Sarmassa is an Italian red wine made from the nebbiolo grape variety sourced from the Sarmassa vineyard in the Barolo commune of Piedmont. This wine is characterized by its deep ruby color, intense aroma of red fruit, roses, and licorice, and complex, full-bodied taste with soft tannins and a long, fruity finish. The Sarmassa vineyard is known for producing some of the finest Barolo wines, and the Brezza Barolo Sarmassa is a testament to that heritage. This wine pairs well with hearty dishes, game, and aged cheeses, and can be enjoyed now or aged for several years to enhance its flavor and complexity.

About the Winery

Brezza

The history and story of Brezza began in 1885 when the Brezza family operated their winery on the land they purchased in the town and commune of Barolo. The property and wine estate derive their name from the family name. It got named so to pay respect to Giacomo Brezza. In 1910, Giacomo, with Antonio Brezza, his father, bottled and produced their first wine bottle.
