Tasting Note

Fresh bouquet, fine and ripe tannins, great drinkability. Open and persistent nose. Floral in the beginning, with straightforward notes of rose petal and violet, it develops deeper botanical characters with hints of juniper, dandelion and incense. On the palate, the pure essence of Cerequio leads to sweet notes of red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, thyme and anise. Polished tannins and the bright acidity balance the fruit concentration, leading to classic medium-weight structure with remarkable ageing potential

Product Notes

Gaja Conteisa is a wine that embodies the essence of elegance, refinement, and complexity. Made from the best grapes in the Piedmont region of Italy, this wine is a blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera grapes. These grapes are grown in high altitude vineyards, allowing them to develop intense flavors and aromas. The wine has a deep ruby color and a complex bouquet of dark fruit, violets, spice, and earthy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. This wine is a true masterpiece and represents the best of Italian winemaking.

About the Winery

Gaja

Established in 1859, Gaja is a family-owned winery in Italy. Giovanni Gaja founded this winery, and his great-grandson, Angelo Gaja runs the estate today. The family produces grapes in the 250 acres of vineyards it owns in Italy's popular wine region, Piedmont. This estate is located exactly in the districts of Barbaresco and Barolo.
