Tasting Note

Ciabot Mentin is a luminous garnet red in colour. There are typical Barolo characters of ripe red fruit, rose and spice on the nose. The palate is intense and well-balanced, and the finish long.

Product Notes

Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin is a prestigious and luxurious wine that hails from the acclaimed Barolo region in Piedmont, Italy. This full-bodied red wine is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, known for their bold, complex flavors and intense aromas. The wine is aged for at least 24 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a rich and velvety texture with notes of dark cherry, plum, and spice. Its elegantly balanced tannins and long, lingering finish make it a perfect choice for pairing with hearty dishes such as grilled meats, game, and aged cheeses. Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin is a true masterpiece that captures the essence of Italian winemaking tradition and terroir.

About the Winery

Domenico Clerico

Domenico Clerico is one of the legendary names of Barolo, a winery that helped shape the modern identity of the region. The estate is based in Monforte d’Alba, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe hills, and was founded in the late 1970s when Domenico “Mimmo” Clerico took over a small family farm. Instead of focusing on bulk wine, he set out to express the full potential of Monforte’s vineyards, gradually acquiring parcels in some of the area’s most prized crus, including Ginestra, Pajana, and Mosconi.
