Tasting Note

A dry and minerally Chenin which shows a clear robe and brightness to the eye. Pure and elegant with notes citrus and white fruit. Lovely balance with a tense and saline finish.

Product Notes

François Chidaine Les Argiles is a stunning white wine from the Loire Valley region of France. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes grown in clay-rich soils, this wine is a true expression of the terroir. The nose is filled with aromas of ripe orchard fruits, white flowers, and a hint of honey. On the palate, it is both elegant and complex, with layers of citrus, mineral, and a touch of oak. The acidity is bright and refreshing, making it a perfect pairing for a variety of dishes, from seafood to poultry. This wine is a true gem that showcases the skill and passion of its winemaker.

About the Winery

François Chidaine

François Chidaine’s domaine sits in the heart of the Loire Valley, primarily in Montlouis-sur-Loire, right across the river from its more famous neighbor, Vouvray. The winery is based in the village of Husseau (part of Montlouis), with vineyards sprawling over about 45 hectares: roughly 22 ha in Montlouis, 10 ha in Vouvray (including the historic Clos Baudoin), and the rest under the broader Touraine appellation for reds, rosés, and some Sauvignon Blanc.
