Tasting Note

The 2019 Hartford Russian River Valley Zinfandel is showing aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry which are highlighted with hints of white pepper and allspice. Blueberry, red raspberry, nutmeg and mocha flavors lead into a long, bright finish with supple tannins.

With a deep ruby hue and aromas of blackberry, bramble and cedar, the Hartford Court Hartford Russian River Valley Zinfandel captivates the senses from the first pour. On the palate, intense flavors of black cherry and dark chocolate are balanced by subtle notes of vanilla and oak. The tannins are firm and textured, providing a structured backbone to this complex, full-bodied wine. The finish lingers with an opulent warmth and a hint of spice. Produced from carefully selected grapes grown in the cool climate of the Russian River Valley, this Zinfandel is an elegant expression of the region's unique terroir.

Hartford Court

The Hartford family winery was established in 1994. This was because of don and Jennifer Hartford’s wine appreciation, the vineyards, and the people in the Russian river valley. Hartford Court is situated in Sonoma country town. The winery is some 15 miles from the Pacific coast.
