Tasting Note

With an inviting foam profile and fine bubbles, this top quality sparkling wine develops superbly in the glass. Aromas of green apple and lemon cake are complemented by hints of brioche and dried dates. With a dosage of just 2g/l, the bone-dry palate is supported by vibrant citrus peel and toasty notes, animated by a subtle minerality and refreshingly crisp acidity.

Product Notes

Loimer Extra Brut Reserve is a fine sparkling wine from Austria, made from the classic grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The wine has a bright golden hue and small, refined bubbles. The nose reveals aromas of citrus, apple, and hazelnut, while on the palate, it has a lively acidity that is balanced by a creamy texture and a pleasant mineral finish. The wine has been aged for 36 months on the lees, resulting in a pronounced complexity and depth of character. This Extra Brut Reserve is a perfect aperitif or an ideal partner for seafood, white meat, or mild cheeses. It is a truly elegant and sophisticated wine that deserves a place in every wine lover's collection.

About the Winery

Loimer

Loimer Wines is one of the reputed wines of Austria, all thanks to one name – Fred Loimer. He was quite passionate about winemaking and went on to get practical experience with vines and wines in Nahe, Germany and Carneros, California. After gaining enough experience, he returned to his native in Langenlois in Austria to set up his brand. There has been no turning back, ever since.
