Product Notes

Trapiche Iscay Syrah Viognier is a tantalizing blend of two grapes – Syrah and Viognier – from Argentina's Mendoza region, known for producing world-class wines. This red wine is characterized by its deep ruby color, intense aromas of black cherry and black pepper, and hints of violet and smoked meat. The addition of Viognier adds a floral and fruity dimension to the wine, creating a balanced and harmonious taste. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins, deliciously complex, and has a long finish. This wine pairs well with robust dishes, such as grilled meats, stews, and hard cheeses. It's a must-try for wine enthusiasts who enjoy bold and expressive flavors.

About the Winery

Trapiche

Trapiche, located in the extremely wine-rich region of Mendoza in Argentina, is a winery that was set up during 1883. This area comprises of over 1000 hectares and it is not surprising to know that this winery is the largest wine producer in Argentina. When Tiburcio Benegas bought the Trapiche winery during the 1880s, it was only a very small vineyard. Today, the place, owned by Grupo Penaflor, encompasses many vineyards from the Mendoza region.
