Product Notes

Trapiche Terroir Series Finca Orellana is a premium Argentinean wine made from 100% Malbec grape variety. The grapes are hand-harvested from the Finca Orellana vineyard located in the Uco Valley, which is known for its high-altitude and rocky soils. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, giving it a complex yet balanced flavor profile. On the nose, it exhibits aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, with subtle notes of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied with soft tannins, flavors of dark fruit, and a long, elegant finish. This wine is best enjoyed when paired with roasted red meats, game dishes, or strong cheeses.

About the Winery

Trapiche

Trapiche, located in the extremely wine-rich region of Mendoza in Argentina, is a winery that was set up during 1883. This area comprises of over 1000 hectares and it is not surprising to know that this winery is the largest wine producer in Argentina. When Tiburcio Benegas bought the Trapiche winery during the 1880s, it was only a very small vineyard. Today, the place, owned by Grupo Penaflor, encompasses many vineyards from the Mendoza region.
