Product Notes

Hambledon Vineyard Classic Cuvée is a sparkling wine that embodies the essence of elegance and sophistication. Made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes grown in the rolling hills of Hampshire, England, this wine offers a tantalizing combination of freshness and richness. The delicate bubbles dance on the palate, releasing exquisite notes of green apples, citrus fruits, and toasted brioche. The finish is long and harmonious, leaving a lasting impression of finesse and balance. Perfect for any special occasion or celebration, Hambledon Vineyard Classic Cuvée is a true expression of English winemaking at its finest.

About the Winery

Hambledon Vineyard

Hambledon Vineyard, nestled in the heart of Hampshire’s South Downs, is widely regarded as the birthplace of English wine. Originally founded in 1952 by Major General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones, it was England’s first commercial vineyard. After a period of decline, it was revived in 1999 by Ian Kellett, who replanted classic Champagne grape varieties—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier—on the estate’s chalk-rich slopes. In 2023, Hambledon entered a new chapter when it was acquired in a joint venture by Berry Bros. & Rudd and Symington Family Estates, helping expand its vineyard area to around 200 acres.
