Tasting Note

Mouthwatering aromas of lemon, grapefruit juice, lime and white flowers combine with a lick of mineral, wet slate. Refreshing and intense, the generosity of flavour shows all the hallmarks of Watervale Riesling, perfectly balanced by zesty acidity.

Product Notes

Jim Barry Watervale Riesling is a delightful white wine hailing from the Clare Valley region of South Australia. Known for its vibrant aromas of citrus fruits, particularly lime, and distinctive floral notes, this Riesling is a classic example of the varietal at its best. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with a perfect balance of zesty acidity and juicy fruit flavors. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of mineral character and a touch of sweetness. This wine is ideal for pairing with seafood dishes, spicy cuisine, or simply enjoying on its own on a warm summer day.

About the Winery

Jim Barry

Located in the Clare Valley region of Australia, the Jim Barry wine label was established during 1959 by Jim Barry. The wines produced by him were known for their unique character and flavour. When he started making wines in this region, he was the first qualified person to do so. His wines were mostly made from varietals such as Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, his family members have taken over this brand.
