Tasting Note

This first tier for Kooyong is fabulous. Requisite white stone fruit, citrus and tangy acidity but it is the depth on the palate and vitality that sets the scene. Grilled nuts, leesy complexity, moreish and savoury. - Jane Faulkner, 94 points

Product Notes

Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay is a premium wine from the Kooyong Estate Vineyard in Mornington Peninsula, Australia. This wine is a perfect example of the remarkable quality and finesse of cool-climate Chardonnay. It has a pale straw color with a golden hue and a complex bouquet of white peach, nectarine, and lemon curd, with hints of toasted almond and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is crisp and fresh, with flavors of citrus, stone fruit, and a minerality that adds complexity and depth. The wine's lengthy finish leaves a subtle honeyed note on the palate. This is a classic Chardonnay that beautifully balances fruit, minerality, and oak, making it a perfect choice for those who enjoy a refined, elegant white wine.
