Tasting Note

As befitting a warm and early harvest, the 2016 Judd Chardonnay underwent only partial malolactic fermentation. To my taste that has helped give this an extra level of freshness, with more layers on show – waxy oak and brioche on the nose, whipped butter and white nectarine on the palate, the finish tight despite the extra alcohol warmth. A full-bodied, yet carefully crafted and contained modern Mornington Chardonnay.

Product Notes

Ten Minutes by Tractor Judd Chardonnay is a quintessential expression of premium cool-climate Chardonnay, crafted with precision and finesse that is distinctively Australian. It is named after the Judd vineyard, one of the three stunning vineyards which make up the Ten Minutes by Tractor winery. The nose displays a complex and sophisticated array of aromas, with citrus, melon, and white peach, along with a nutty minerality. The palate is vibrant, with a toasty and creamy texture, with flavors of grilled hazelnuts, citrus, and a hint of vanilla. The substantial, yet balanced, acidity ensures that this wine can age gracefully for years. Overall, this wine is an exquisite example of Australian Chardonnay, and a must-try for any lover of cool-climate whites.

About the Winery

Ten Minutes by Tractor

It was during 1997 that the three family-owned vineyards that were apart from each other, ten minutes by tractor, got together to form the Ten Minutes by Tractor brand. What started with 3 vineyards has now grown to more than 200 vineyards in the region of Mornington Peninsula. The excellent climate and soil of this area have given it the distinction of creating the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varietals in Australia.
