Tasting Note

A postcard from Piedmont to express the love for our land, an affection that Giuseppe Rivetti, known as “Pin”, taught his sons Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio. The synergy between Barbera and Nebbiolo results in a bouquet of fruit, flowers, and spices. The balance between tannins and acidity makes this wine a perfect companion for food.

Product Notes

La Spinetta Monferrato Rosso Pin is a wine known for its deep ruby color and rich, full-bodied taste. This red blend is made from three grape varietals: Barbera, Nebbiolo and Grignolino, which are all grown in the Monferrato region of Italy. Aromas of red fruits, spices and earthy notes are all present on the nose. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced with a combination of fruity and savory flavors. Its tannins are firm but not aggressive making it an easy-drinking wine. This wine pairs well with many dishes, but particularly with roasted meats, pasta and cheese. La Spinetta Monferrato Rosso Pin is a true representation of Italian wine-making expertise and a must-try for wine enthusiasts.

About the Winery

La Spinetta

The journey of La Spinetta started in the early years of the 1960s with Giuseppe Rivetti and Lidia, his wife. The two were dedicated and expert farmers who held a colossal amount of knowledge and appreciation for the tradition of cultivation and winemaking. They also possessed immense curiosity and interest in knowing what the future holds. Giuseppe and Lidia exemplified respect, humility, and ambition in their work and passion. The values they hold dear define and signify the philosophy of the winery of La Spinetta to this day.
