Tasting Note

Cannubi is the apogee of Barolo. Aromatically intense, aristocratic and with superb persistence, it shows notes of blackcurrants, liquorice, cinnamon, mint and tobacco. Elegant and seductive, with a great structure and a silky texture, this celebrated cru is noted for its extraordinary completeness and personality.

Product Notes

Michele Chiarlo Cannubi Barolo DOCG is a premium Italian wine known for its intense bouquet and full-bodied flavor. Made using only the finest Nebbiolo grapes from the historic Cannubi vineyard, this wine embodies the true essence of Barolo. The grapes are carefully selected and vinified to create a wine that is rich and complex with notes of ripe cherries, blackberries, and spices. It has a bold tannic structure that pairs well with hearty dishes such as roasted meats and strong cheeses. The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels which imparts a subtle vanilla flavor and a smooth finish. Michele Chiarlo Cannubi Barolo DOCG is a wine that is meant to be savored and enjoyed with good company.

About the Winery

Michele Chiarlo

Michele Chiarlo had a passion for winemaking right from a young age, as he, along with his father, realised the huge wine-producing potential of the Piedmont Hills in Italy. He began his own brand in the year 1956 when he was still in his 20s. He aimed to make the best and most respected crus in the entire Piedmont region. His dream came true, when the first cru, released in 1958, impressed everyone who tasted it.
